Directions: After crossing Mare Island Causeway, Turn left on Nimitz Ave. Location is 1/2 mile down on the left. Across the street from the parking lot is a building with "BLDG 207" on one side and 875 Nimitz on the other.(Picture below with maps)

We are so excited to host another running event on beautiful Mare Island! We will have a Half Marathon, 10K and 5K courses taking you through natural and historic sections of the island. We will be starting from the Mare Island Brewing Company coal shed location, running through over 100 years of Naval history and natural beauty, with a finish line party at the Mare Island Brew Co Coal Sheds!
Our Half Marathon course will take you through the historic waterfront along the east side of the island, to the highest point of Mare Island for beautiful views of the Bay, Mt. Diablo, and Mt. Tamalpais. It will then run you down by the Old Admiral housing including St Peter's Chapel (with the largest collection of Tiffany stainied glass in the West!) and out to the sweeping views of the Mare Island portion of the San Pablo Bay trail on the western side of the island.
The 10K will take you through the historic waterfront by the Old Admiral mansion and the San Pablo Bay Trail before heading to the finish.
The 5K race will run through the historic waterfront by the Old Admiral mansions before heading to the finish.
All pre-registered participants will receive a t-shirt and finishers medal. Awards will be available for Male and Female of every category.
We expect to have categories of <20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Pre-registration will close on June 22nd. Shirt sizes will only be guaranteed for registrations prior to May 29th. Any registrations after that will have a selective inventory to choose from with the remaining sizes that are ordered. Exchanges can occur once all races have started.
Race Day registration may be available but shirts and medals will be subject to availability.
Refunds will also not be given.
Event details and schedule
Course Info:
The run will be through the historic Mare Island Naval Shipyard. This does include abandoned railroad tracks and uneven surfaces. Parts of the run through the San Pablo Bay Trail are unpaved but its is a compacted gravel path. Course subject to change for safety reasons if deemed necessary.
Arrival Info:
Please arrive with plenty of time before your event start time. As much as we want to be able to predict everything that will happen, all we know is that we are going to hold our race.
Parking Info:
Parking is available at the location above or overflow is available in the parking lot across Nimitz Ave.
What to bring:
Vallejo being on the waterfront is subject to morning fog. With temperatures possibly going from the mid 50s to 90s possible by noon please plan accordingly. Food and additional drinks will be available for purchase from our host Mare Island Brewing Co.
Course Maps: Below are the course maps from 2023, and while we expect them to be similar they are going through the review phase as the Island is being built out.
